bespoke projects:
All of my designs are handcrafted using traditional jewellery techniques. This hands on process allows me to give each design a unique character which cannot be repeated.
If you’d like to have your own bespoke design created here are some notes for getting started:
- When commissioning a bespoke piece of jewellery I always suggest you have a clear idea of your ideal piece before we start.
This might include what metal you’d like to use, a minimalist or Detailed final look, and what your ideal budget for the project is.
- Custom designs can vary in price depending on the materials we use and how complex the final design is. If you have an ideal budget please let me know and I can endeavour to design a unique piece which fits your budget.
- Bespoke Designs take approx. 8 weeks to create, If you have a deadline for your project please let me know ASAP.
If you need your design sooner than 8 weeks I will of course do my best to have it ready for your deadline however this will depend on my schedule.
- I work in solid sterling silver, 9ct and 18ct gold (Yellow and white).
When working with white gold please note that I do not rhodium plate white gold designs as this is often wears off very quickly leaving an uneven finish over time. Instead I choose to celebrate the warmer natural white gold colour.
-I do not currently work with rose gold or platinum.
What to know about reworking old jewellery.
- sometimes we find ourselves with heirloom jewellery inherited from family members who are no longer with us. While these pieces can be very sentimental they can often be in a size which doesn’t fit or an outdated style which isn’t your taste.
These pieces can be melted down and reworked into something new that you’ll enjoy wearing - while keeping the sentimental gold or silver that tells a story.
- Reworking old jewellery is not a more cost-effective option. This process requires more time and work on my end to turn the materials into a workable form so what is saved in not purchasing new materials you are paying for in extra labour.
- When reworking old jewellery there can be impurities such as solder. Because of this it is possible that extra gold or silver will need to be added to design. This can be discussed once I see the design which is being melted down.
- I Do not currently work with customers own stones as I am not insured to cover anything going wrong.
- Any pieces of jewellery which are being melted down need to be hallmarked so that I know what the Material is.
If there is no hallmark on the piece it would need to be sent for assaying to ascertain what metal alloy it is. Prices for this service start at approx. £50 for one item and will vary for multiples.

What Ring band width is right for you?
This will often depend on your proportions and what you find most comfortable.
Typically women tend to choose a ring band between 2mm and 5mm wide depending on how dainty or chunky they would like the final design to be.
Generally speaking men typically choose a ring band that is 6mm or 8mm, however if your preference is for chunky jewellery then you might even choose a 10mm/1cm wide ring.
I always suggest that you make your choice based on comfort – if you don’t find your ring comfortable then you wont enjoy wearing it.
